John S. Goodall

"Creepy Castle" by John S. Goodhall (1975) is very very high on my favourite picture books list, he's just.. wow.
For my next project I want to go with half page flips as well, we're really limited in the number of pages though, so it might end up being just 6 spreads with half pages in between... a bit sad... but anyways, look at how amazing this is:

Retina cross-section

so my research on optical illusions went on to research about visual perception and ended up on colour-blindness;
guess I'll be looking to explain a bit about how the eye works in order to show what causes colour vision defects, been reading sections of David Hubel's "Eye, Brain, and Vision" book, and I wanted to share this beautiful cross-section of the retina found in the third chapter:
